Agartala, Tripura, March 8 (HBTV): Sitting Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament and candidate for West Tripura parliamentary constituency Biplab Kumar Deb on Thursday night said the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) parliamentary board will convene its meeting shortly to take a final call on the party’s face for the East Tripura parliamentary constituency.

Speaking to media persons soon after meeting with TIPRA Motha founder Pradyot Kishore Debbarman at the royal palace in the evening, Deb said ‘it was a courtesy call to have talks on the future course of action. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a vision for the whole country. The key agenda of the BJP and Modi is development for all.’ 

On being asked about the East Tripura constituency, Deb said the “BJP’s face for East Tripura constituency would be announced very soon. So far I know, the parliamentary board will convene its meeting once Prime Minister Narendra Modi gives his time. In the meeting, the final decision would be taken on who would be fielded from the seat. Within a couple of days, the announcement would be made.”
